This month's

lives help to build patience...James1:2-3
I admit it?s hard to be
enthusiastic about going through tests and trials. But can you
get excited about being totally supplied in every way, in want of
nothing? Well, according to the Word of God if you use your
trials to develop patience, that is precisely the position you?ll be
in.
You see
patience doesn?t mean what you thought it meant. It does not mean
settling sweetly for second best. It does not mean standing meekly
by while the devil romps all over you.
No, patience is a powerful word. The New Testament
meaning of it as translated from the Greek is "to be constantly constant
or to be the same all the time, regardless of what
happens."
To understand how much power is in that you have to realize that its one
of the most outstanding attributes of God Himself.
The Bible says He?s the same
yesterday, today and forever.
Think about that for a minute. The guy or gal who
absolutely cannot be changed by anyone or anything is an extremely powerful
person, wouldn?t you say?
Obviously, God has that much power. But you know what, we
do too!
By the
Power of the Holy Spirit working within us, we can be the same every day no
matter what happens. If we put our trust in God and let Patience go to work, it
won?t matter what happens. You won't ever have to accept anything less then
victory again.
Now that is something to get excited about.
Read 2
Timothy 3:10-17.....it?s awesome. The word of God is so simple for us to
understand when we listen to our God and what He is trying to tell
us.
We are all
extremely blessed. We have a Father in Heaven who loves us. We
have his Son Jesus who died for us and we have the Holy Spirit who watches over
us and is with us constantly.
As I write this I am in awe of the gifts that have been
given to each of us. I know we all go through rough times and I know first hand
how hard it is sometimes to keep the faith .......to be able to just say
"Lord I can t handle this, I am giving it all to
you."
Then
to stand back and let Him take command of our troubles and to trust that He
does know what He is doing, and last of all He doesn?t need our help, He just
needs us to believe.
God Bless you all, I pray that the God who made us will give us all we
need in the coming year to do His will and do it with Joy.

Witness talk
Whenever possible we will publish a
Hamilton Diocese Cursillista's Witness Talk. I asked Aurora DiPasquale of St.
Anthony Daniel's ultreya if I could publish a talk she gave a few weeks ago.
Thanks for saying yes Aurora. Please send me (drmilne@sympatico.ca) any
talks you think should be published so we can publish a witness talk every
month. Please realize that I will have to use my judgment on whether or not a
talk is published so it's possible that not every talk will get published.
Please click here
to see Aurora's talk. The last word
As editor I get the last
word - May the peace of the Lord be with you, and your friends and your family
too. And wherever you may go, may the peace of the Lord follow you.
